Am I wrong or is it a third Sword pick in a row?The Devils, She Who Became the Sun and The Hexologists.
I really liked this author's Senlin Ascends series all the way up until the end. I really didn't like the end. Still, I thought the first 3.75 out of the 4 books were amazing. I think I'm looking forward to this.
Super glad we are reading Josiah Bancroft, I love his writing. This book had the very rare fantasy characters of a happily married older couple. No math involved. Hey, if you are drawing a blank on SF authors, we still have not read M.R. Carey . 3 series to pick from . The Girl with All the Gifts is a new take on the Zombie trope, The Book of Koli is the start of a dystopia series, and Infinity Gate is Carey's take on Quantum Universe trope, I rated all the series 5 stars, but I am a M,R Carey super fan.

You are correct. Rather unusual?
SWBTS could be SF if you threw in a coupla pages about someone trying to repair the timeline and a cross time battle. I joke, but that's kinda the premise of Norton's Time Traders. Poul Anderson was similarly known for barely-SF historical works.
Don’t know anything about this book but it sounds interesting. I have put a hold on it at my local library so I should be able to start reading it soon!
My library had the ebook available so I was able to start right away. One chapter in and I'm enjoying it. I'm getting Gail Carriger vibes.
I put a hold on this as soon as I saw the announcement and it came in last night. So did my hold on The Devils and my hold on Ghostdrift. Never rains but it pours. Now I have to read like the wind!

T and V addressed this in a recent podcast. Something something scheduling.
Coming back to the book – I heard of it recently, in another podcast. They did "Best (and worst) books read in 2024" episode, and "The Hexologists" was on one best list, and one worst list. Could be fun :-D
The book blurb that Rob sent out made this book sound like a lot of fun and only 99p here in the UK for the Kindle eBook from Amazon. :-)

I have gone ahead and bought the kindle edition- it will be handy having it on my kindle as well as the hardback from the library

My pleasure; and best of luck for your upcoming duel with The Supreme Sword our dear lady V. :-)

From my personal results anything with a long wait list is either brand new or totally overhyped.
