Caitlin Newport relentlessly hounds Nikki to look into the disappearance of Zach Reeves, a twelve-year old boy who went missing around the same time as Kellan. Did you suspect at the time that there was more to her reason for getting so involved and being so passionate about it?

Caitlin's virtual hysteria over the case had me thinking she was his mother way before it was revealed. It seemed to be too out of character for it to be anything else.

I thought that the two cases were likely tied together since both of the boys lived with people other than their parents. I didn't really think much about the fact that Caitlin was so passionate about this case. She mentioned she knew the family, so I figured that was why she kept calling.

Like Robin, I thought the cases were somehow connected. I believed Caitlin was being a typical pain-in-the-neck reporter. The second time she hounded Nikki, I sensed something more was going on, but I didn't think she was the boy's mother. I thought she was related, though.

I had an almost Nadine type moment with Caitlin at first. I thought she was just a rabid journalist looking for a story.

I was wondering about how she was involved with this family. It felt a little too much for her to just be interested in a story.

I’m with Lauren. She was way too manic about it and I guessed Zach was her son early on. Caitlin was very controlled in the first story. This was different.
