The latest Tea or Books? podcast talks about this book, pairing it with The Spring Begins. https://www.stuckinabook.com/141-do-w...

I know it's no consolation but a lot of similar things kicking off in Britain too. All genuinely scary.
Thanks for sharing those links, Tania! I was so excited to see it on BBC Sounds, but it's not available in the US. Starting the book soon! Not looking forward to all the similarities to everything that's going on today...

I think Persephone actually said that this is why they felt the time was right for the book to be published, and I think this is probably why the book has been so popular. It has tapped into those feelings. As Alwynne says, it's not just the US, it seems to be happening pretty much everywhere, just magnified in the US.

I'm not too sure how Sounds works elsewhere, but I know overseas listeners can subscribe to Sounds, I expect it has to be paid for, whereas here it is included as part of our TV licence. Maybe you can have a trial to see whether it's worth it for you? (If I was overseas, I'd probably pay if only for 'The Archers' and 'I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue', but that's because I grew up with them).

I see they have author info, etc. on their website and mention Persephone!
That sounds fantastic. I toyed with the idea of going to see it in Bath, but didn't get round to it. Hopefully it will get put on there again.
Francesca Beauman was on Front Row last night talking about Crooked Cross and plans for the sequels. It's available on Sounds for anyone with access to it.
