It is the 1940s and London is under attack. Electra(Ellie) McDonnell is a burglar and expert safecracker and because of her skills she has been recruited as a spy for England.

One Final Turn is the fifth and final of this short series and ends in a dramatic fashion with Ellie attempting to rescue her cousin Toby who has escaped from a German POW camp and is headed to Portugal.

This is an exciting series beginning with A Peculiar Combination and should be read in order.

I so enjoyed Ellie and her family. Thanks for turning me on to this series. This last book made me want to find others that are set in Portugal.

I wondered if she was thinking about starting a new series with Archie. It seemed like a possibility to me, especially since in one of the last chapters Ellie wondered what happened to Velo. That seemed like a loose thread.

I loved the setting and the intrigue.
