Welcome to our Oct/Nov 25 buddy read of One Virgin Too Many Book 11 in the Marcus Didius Falco series was first published in 1999.

A frightened child approaches Roman informer Marcus Didius Falco, pleading for help. Nobody believes Gaia's story that a relation wants to kill her - and neither does he.

Beset by his own family troubles, by his new responsibilities as Procurator of the Sacred Poultry, and by the continuing search for a new partner, he turns her away...

Immediately he regrets it. Gaia's been selected as the new Vestal Virgin, and when she disappears Falco is asked to investigate.

Finding Gaia is soon a race against time, ending in Falco's most frightening exploit yet.

Who is planning to read this one, or has done so already? I am just about to embark on it and looking forward to catching up with Falco.

I plan to reread (or re-listen) soon.

I recently read it, and always enjoy catching up with Falco, Helena and their entourage!

I've started and remember very little of the plot, except for the geese.

Trust Falco to be given a position or title that involves him bringing even more problems to the apartment - in this case goslings!

I am so behind this month that I am still reading this one, even though I have read one of the Nov/Dec buddy reads. I AM enjoying it - struggled at first, but it is hotting up now.
