This book is creepy and magical—hard to read due to some of the horrific things that happen—but still very good. This speaks to the ties of generational wealth, and/or curses, as well as how women who stick together can be very powerful indeed. Although I’m not a squeamish person by nature, some of the detailed mentions of insects, and birds were a bit erie. I gave this 4/5 stars.
