Skyler was excited to be in the Christmas show, but she was also a little nervous because she hadn’t been in many of them before. As she arrived, she saw her friend Chloe. Later, Chloe and some random boy were just looking around and talking about the most random things, and the boy says to Chloe, “Who’s that? She’s kinda cute…” Later, Skyler got introduced to the boy. After he left, Chloe told Skyler what the boy said.
She didn’t see him again till the fair. At the fair, Skyler was hanging out with one of her friends at the pig barn. She saw a few familiar faces, then found the boy. He walked by and she said, “Wait, are you a Durham?!”
He got scared and freaked out. “OH CRAP!” and ran in the opposite direction.
Later, he returned and asked, “How do you know me?”
And to be funny, Skyler replied, “I’m not disclosing any information at this time.” Then she giggled.
Skyler didn’t see him till the next day when she was hanging out with Chloe, and he came up and said, “IT’S YOU!” After a while, Chloe introduced me to him, and they walked around for a while.
The next day, it was only Skyler and “Durham”. They played checkers and he won.
The next day, at the fair, they hung out with his friends. And it was super uncomfortable. So she moved by his side, and he looked at her and smiled. He then slid his hand into Skyler’s.
Later that day, they were hanging out again and held on to each other’s hands, happily for the rest of the day.
The last day of the fair arrived, and she was sad to see it go. They hung out at the arena event and held hands the whole time.
After the fair ended, they started texting each other. Then he just stops out of the blue. Sklyer was confused because the last couple of texts were about their relationship. Skyler told her friend and she asked his brother and his brother said “He’s not allowed to talk to her anymore.”
She kept trying to hang out with him. She had whent to two different youth groups to try to see him. He didn’t show.
Eventually, he was in the youth group. But she didn’t realize, so she was talking to the lady at the check-in and got a raffle ticket. As Skyler was writing her name, he came up behind her and said, “You’re writing the wrong last name down.” Not realizing it was him, she mentally prepared to sock the boy who had said that. So as she turned around, she saw him and stood in complete and utter shock. Then he gives her a hug, not a side or awkward hug, but an i’m-stumbling-backward-with-the-strength-he’s-hugging-me-with hug. So there they were, he was apologizing over and over for not texfting her back. Apparently, his parents were angry about them talking. As the continued to talk he said “I don’t want to mess this one up. I don’t want to lose you.” and she was blushing but not as hard as when he said, “I talked to my brother and he said, ‘oh you’ll get over it’ and I was like yah i don’t want to get over it!”
They started playing a game and they stood there, leaning on the railing and his hand hit her knuckle and he took hold of her hand and gently rubbed her knuckles.
Later a kid comes up and asked “wait are you guys like, siblings?”
And Henry was like “NOOOOOOOO” and the kid whent back to what he was doing.
Then asks “Soooooooo…. Are you guys dating?” And he thought Skyler wasn’t looking as he looked briefly at her and nodded. Her face turned so red.
So after hanging out one day, they hugged each other and she hugged his neck and he hugged her waist. He pulled back and looked at her and hugged her again.
