Terry Martin | 9 comments I have 3 books on my author profile page that are part of a series. (Eventually there will be 2 more books in the series). I'm not finding instructions on how to go about creating a series and a description for it. What information do I need to provide to a librarian in order to create a series and description? Also, once the series is created, do I have control over making changes to its description or adding more books to it?

Scott | 9352 comments Tell us the title of the series, and link to the books.

Only librarians can manage serieses.

Terry Martin | 9 comments Thank you kindly for the reply. This does not answer all my questions. Will there be some sort of form to fill out, perhaps, where I can write a description for the series? Or do I just stick the description here in the comment section after somebody replies? I wish there was some page that tells me what to expect on creating the series, what my role is, and what the librarian's role is. Is it on here somewhere, and I'm just not finding it? There is a title for the series, yes. And I have a description written for the series. When you say you want the link to the books in the series, are you saying you want the URL at the top when I click on each book from the series from my author profile page? Baby steps, please. Thanks.

Scott | 9352 comments There's no form. Just put everything here. Yes, the URL for each book.

Description of series:
“Heirs” is epic fantasy set in the world of Dumhoni, a century after the abdication of the last Anterianhi emperor. The tale centers on young adult twin brother and sister, Kodi and Lyndz Fothemry. Called by Meical, cosmic Guardian and Taxiarch, the twins must discover their courage, wisdom, and magic in order to someday face the wicked Khans of the Khestadone. Other major characters are introduced from the three races: Humans, giant-winged Etoppsi, and reclusive, magical Qeteral. The reader will find moral and spiritual growth, male camaraderie, female camaraderie, male and female heroes (young and old), humor, romance, religious and philosophical themes, symbolism, magic evil and good, dragons and other mythical creatures, gods and goddesses, battles, adventure, exotic and beautiful places, and places of fear and darkness. There is focus on character development with psychological growth themes, along with deep friendships. These are persons (and also a hero dog!) that the reader is meant to fall in love with, laugh and cry with, and root for. Much modern-day fantasy focuses on darkness, horror, and often lacks redemptive themes. “Heirs” contains strong elements of love and redemption, even in times of darkness and tragedy.
This is adult epic fantasy. Less obvious in Book 1, as the series advances, romances are developed, and the sex and lovemaking can be descriptive with mature wording.
All readers—male, female, young adult and old, white and people of color, religious and skeptic, traditional and progressive—will find much they enjoy and value in “Heirs to the Taxiarch.”
3 of the planned 5 books in the series have been published to date. 1) Seeds of the Guardian. 2) Companions in Prophecy. 3) Brothers of Myghal. Forthcoming are 4) Daughters of Vanayema. 5) Champions of Dumhoni.
