What prompted you to join this group read?
Have you read this author before? What do you think of their other books?

I had two reasons: I wanted to be able to checkmark another prompt on the bibliopoly challenge and because it is getting so close to the holidays and major travel, I wanted something a little more light and probably fun. I love Japanese literature.

i've been reading some very heavy books recently (literally just finished A Little Life earlier this month) so i'm looking forward to something a little lighter to transition into the holidays. plus i've also for some reason recently developed a love for cats so this tracks

I think I have read this book before but I remember nothing about it. I didn't even give it a rating I thought it might be worth another go I often like something better on a second reading
