Effi Briest was read by the group two years ago. Personally, I haven't read it yet, but I think we can nominate only books not read by the group yet.
I nominate:The Grapes of Wrath by Steinbeck
and
Infinite Jest by Foster Wallace (might need more than one month for this one)
Thanks for those nominations, that's enough now I think :o)
unless Kimberley wants to pick another SoN instead of Effi Briest?
maybe we should have an extra poll specifically for a "Revisit" read, say once every 3 months? we could start next month, i.e. in December, March, June and September - what does everybody think?

I like the idea of a revisit read. Perhaps we could have a rule that the book must have been last read more than X years ago.
just noticed that we had a tie in State of the Nation,
so have re-opened the Poll for a couple of days, and invited a few more members to vote...

State of the Nation and Comedy
to help with choosing nominations, I have updated the threads containing the full list of books in each of these categories, showing which books have already been read - hopefully these are useful:
State of the Nation List
Comedy List
so let's have those suggestions...
