Chapters 1-6: during the first couple chapters I thought I was reading a wattpad arranged marriage story. Until Dante’s POV started, and I immediately remembered this is no cutie story, haha!We all know where it’s headed of course, but how are they going to overcome this big issue of blackmailing? I’m so intrigued!
I will give this one a try, as it’s on my tbr… Probably won’t have the time to stick to the schedule…Chapter 1 - 6
I definitely like these two already. They’re banter is definitely entertaining and I wonder how longit takes them to fall for each other.
Chapters 1-6
I'm also enjoying so far, I like the added side plot of Dante's brother and his lover-possibly a later instalment in the series? I also wonder if we'll see Vivian's sister considering she has been mentioned a couple of times.

Chapters 7-11: I also love the banter between Dante & Vivian, and I like the idea of the truce. I am still wondering how fast or how slow their romance will go, though… I hope not too fast! And, also, how are they going to overcome this huge bump in their engagement? I mean, it’s a pretty big deal, I hope the solution is not rushed.
Chapters 12-17: wow, so many things happened in these few chapters. I wish the robbery had been more expanded on, I felt the thrill and it was swiftly over. Also, has Dante heard about consent, or is that a foreign concept? The violence, too, phew, no wonder he is the king of wrath. As a final note, I got vibes of a next couple potentially being Isabella & Kai.
I'm up to the end of chapter 25, I've had a big assignment due this week so I have fallen a bit behind but I should catch up and finish this weekend.
In terms of the actual book, I am really enjoying it. I find that it has a better flow than the books in the twisted series that I've also read by this author. I agree that we should've seen more of the robbery, Dante's reaction was so.....passionate(?) so I was expecting a bigger aftermath and maybe a hidden story behind the robbery itself.
The trip to Bali was interesting to say the least. It definitely explains a lot of Dante's behaviour, and his brothers too.

No worries at all, I’m also falling behind due to the busy week. I have started the trip to Bali, and I can certainly see why the brothers are like that, with those parents, indeed!!
I also went a bit on with this one today… Chapter 7 -
The way their relationship evolves is nice. Dante is slowly opening up and although they’re already physical, the emotional bond is starting to evolve slowly.
But probably we‘re at a turning point right now. As Dante probably will distance himself due to resolving his issue with Francis in his way. On one hand I was happy that happened, Francis isn’t my favorite kind of character. Honestly I don’t really like Vivian‘s parents. They’re so condescending. And I feel sorry for her, the way she has to behave in front of them. Yes, I get the respect kind of thing, but not being your own person around your parents that’s tough. On the other hand Vivian‘s parents seems like they were really nice before getting all the money. Not that Dantes parents are better…
I hope Dante can just tell Vivian the truth. But just somehow I feel this will first take a turn to the worse.
@Aikaterine I agree on Isabella and Kai being the love interest of the second book.
@Sophie Yes, Bali was enlightening… I haven’t read the twisted series, so can’t say anything about that. But this one flows nicely.
I managed to finish this today… Here are my thoughts.3 stars
An easy read. The writing style is relaxed and easy to follow. The same goes for the plot. A clichéd love story, but just right for in between. The characters are interesting and well developed, especially Dante.
The love story between Vivian and Dante is interesting and beautiful. But again I‘m a big fan of the forced marriage and forced proximity plot.
Certain situations and side plots could have been a little more detailed, but all in all, it's a nice, light romance novel.
Completely forgot to drop my final thoughts....
3.5 stars ✨
I found Ana Huang’s writing a lot more digestible in this book compared to the twisted series. The flow of the writing was a lot better and fast paced.
I was really in need of a clichéd, mindless read and this one delivered. The banter was fabulous and I loved the New York setting. I do wish we had explored more of the side plot elements. Don’t get me wrong, the third act climax reveal was satisfactory, but I feel like the robbery could’ve been something more, or possibly some actual fallout to the robbery.
I also really like the concept of a series following the seven deadly sins, so I’m definitely going to continue the series.

@Sophie Oh, I didn’t know this follows the seven deadly sins.., That definitely makes it more intriguing! And yes I totally agree the banter was nice and a mindless read was definitely needed.
@Sophie Maybe next time I should take a closer look at a cover. It’s literally on the front side, that it’s about sins 😂😂
I managed to pick this up again today, and made quite some progress. Just finished Chapter 27 so I’m not going to read your final thoughts just yet, but I know for sure that I got sucked right in!Their bond is getting stronger now, and I like the fact that it takes place over a big period of time. I feel like the author has written the montages quite well, so I’m not getting distracted by the long periods of time lapsing between the glimpses we get.
I am also now 100% sure Isabella & Kai will be the next couple ;)
