Fourth Wing discussion

I really loved all of the [fourth wing] books and cannot understand why everyone complains about the writing style. I’ve tried comparing it to other books but can’t find a problem. I have read the empyrean series over ten times and absolutely love all of it. Am I missing something?? 🐉

Curious about this too! I know lots of people are tired of her describing the same things over and over (her silver hair, his onyx eyes) but I don't think the style in itself is that bad.

What I don't like however, is that it was supposed to be a trilogy and suddenly it's going to be 5 books?
Personally, I loved Fourth Wing but had a harder time getting through Iron Flame. Would you say Onyx Storm is more like the first or the second book?
