Emma (toast_oclock) | 23 comments Hi, looking for some help - these two books are the same book but different titles for UK and US markets. I've tried to combine them twice now but it hasn't gone through - can anyone advise if I'm doing the wrong thing combining them? My understanding is they should be combined. Thanks!

Dobby (dobby0390) | 7953 comments Combining is correct, not merging. (combine=group records together; merge=delete a record)

Because of the large number of records, it is likely to take awhile for the system to complete the Combine task. I went ahead and ordered the Combine task again, and it appears to have gone through now.

Tami (tamicarvallo) | 7137 comments I posted this same request earlier. It’s because when a book record has too many shelvings, it needs a superlibrarian to combine: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Thanks Dobby!

Dobby (dobby0390) | 7953 comments Thank you, Tami, for the reminder that the large number of shelvings also affects combining.
