Unfortunately I did not finish The Unlikely Spy at 30%. As I wrote in my review, Silva's writing is strong and engaging, but none of the characters nor the spy intrigue held my interest enough to keep going. At about 250 pages in (and only 30% of the way through) I had the thought, "I just don't care," and it's very hard to unthink that when you have so many more pages to go. I’m still interested on trying his Gabriel Allon series sometime.

Im sorry you didnt care for this one. It happens.
I used to enjoy his books- read them all. The last 4 or 5 didnt
do it for me. If you ever try again, my favorites are Prince of Fire and Death in Vienna.
