2025 & 2026 Reading Challenge discussion

Every year our group holds a contest to change the look and feel of our group. Do you have a great idea for the 2026 masthead and logo? Here's your chance to share it with the group!

Read through the requirements below and then start creating. When you're finished, post your two images in a comment on this thread. We will put up a poll to vote on the winners.

The person with the winning design will get to choose the theme for June 2026!

All entries must be submitted in this thread by November 30, 2025.

Requirements:
1. Your images must be original and free to use.
2. Your images must be clean (easy to read and appropriate for all ages).
3. Your logo image should be about 115 by 115 pixels.
4. Your masthead image should be about 970 x 245 pixels.
5. The two images should go together.
6. Your images should be relevant to the group and should contain the group's name.

It's by no means a requirement, but our theme this year is AWARD WINNERS, so feel free to incorporate that creatively into your design!

Note: the winner may be asked to make minor tweaks to their image in order for it to be used while keeping to the spirit of the design.

Important: Please ensure your settings make it possible to receive messages from anyone on Goodreads so the mods can contact you if you win!

Places to Post:
If you have a place to do so, feel free to host your image there and post it here. If you have no corner of the internet you call your own, you can host the image to the group itself by following these steps:
1. Click here and then click "add more photos" on the far right of the page.
2. In the "title" space please put your name so we know who the image belongs to.
3. Post a comment here with your image in it.

Tip: Post hosted images like this: [img src="IMAGE LINK HERE"] but replace []s with <>s.

I added my masthead to photos, but it'll only let me add one photo. When I add the logo, it replaces the masthead photo.

andddd I just went in to check and neither are there. haha!

If you mean adding them to your Goodreads profile, you should be able to add up to 20 images.

Be sure you're saving them with different names. I think I called mine TerryJane-masthead and TerryJane-logo.

If, on the other hand, you mean adding them to this thread, be sure to click Post when you're editing and/or previewing.

I can't believe we're already half way through November! I'm loving all the logo submissions so far! Please continue submitting your artist ideas! Contest ends in 15 days!

The contest would be a lot easier if there was only one good suggestion, but every year I'm torn when it comes time to vote.

Hoping this works. This is the first time I've drawn by hand on my tablet. Not sure if I'm satisfied with the text font and color, but those could still be changed. I just can't spend any more time on it tonight and I want to get this submitted before the deadline. :)

Just when I think I've decided on my favourite, another brilliant design appears. Might have to do eeny meanie miney mo when the poll opens. Well done everyone for being so creative! 👍

Thanks Carolyn! It's been a while since I've done more than just some doodling or sketching. It was fun to have something to work on for a few weeks. I'll have to practice more digital drawing.

Thanks D.L. I had a vision of a library with different size stacks of books, sort of like an Olympic medal stand. I found some reference images on the internet to get an idea of what it would all look like together and then I drew the whole thing on my tablet using an app called PENUP.
