Chapters 1-9 => (view spoiler)[I'm so glad I'm rereading this because I forgot that she did all that with the sword lol.

Chapter (1- 10 ) => This is one of my favorite books, and it made me a little sad to realize how many details I’d forgotten. I’m glad I started rereading it so I can move on to the next one. I also really missed Carrion—he was such a fun character.

Chapters 10-18 => (view spoiler)[I didn't appreciate the banter between these two the first time around. God, they are making me laugh!!

Carrian has arrived on scene too and it's so funny to see Kingfisher's jealousy. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 19-27 => (view spoiler)[I forgot so much!!! I love Archer. He's funny.

But I'm loving the banter between Saeris and Kingfisher. I don't remember it being so funny the first time around, but I'm so glad I am reading it again.

I can't wait until she finds out they are mates, because it's so evident with how Kingfisher is with her. Again, I don't remember the details, so it's almost like I'm reading it for the first time again. (hide spoiler)]

I remember everyone raving about the banter and first time I read it I found it to be just good enough
maybe I should do a reread so I can appreciate it like you are Jamie

I'm telling you, it's really good this time around. I don't think you would be disappointed rereading it. I have a new appreciation!

Part 1 and 2
(view spoiler)[I love that we got some insight into this battle. Kingfisher going up against the dragon was intense. I was sooo sad when Mirelle died and really felt for Ren. We also got some insight into Kingfisher's feelings for her.

Did we know that Mirelle had tied a piece of herself to the sword so that it would continue working? I can't remember that detail in Quicksilver but it very well might have been said. He didn't want her to but I like that she did so that she would continue to be part of Lupo Proelia, always with Kingfisher and Ren.

It was super interesting when he met with the twins Bal and Minth. He was there at the same time as Saeris and he clearly felt that pull to her even then, before knowing her. I now want to reread the part where Saeris sees Zareth. I'm curious if she could sense him at all. Also, do Kingfisher and Saeris have a conversation about her meeting him? I'm curious if he makes the connection that it was her there meeting Zareth at the same time he was there but he was in the past. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I LOVE that we got some insight into this moment. This whole situation was already hilarious but I'm so glad we got Kingfisher's POV. I also love Archer. He doesn't mean to be I don't think, but he's hilarious.

I was so surprised by how much I loved most of the side characters in this book. I felt like I was rooting for all of them. (hide spoiler)]

I am soooooo excited to jump into Brimstone. I've been kind of putting it off for 24 hours because I'm afraid to start I think haha. I know once I start, it's going to be hard to stop, and I need sleep tonight!

Chapters 28-36 => (view spoiler)[Danya is such a bitch.

Saeris finding out how she is mates with Kingfisher is priceless, but it also gave me tears. The emotions on the audio really bring this all together so nicely. Hearing Kingfisher really explain about the caterpillars and why he calls her Little Osha brought the tears too. I have loved seeing this relationship grow so much this time around. (hide spoiler)]

I'm getting so close to the end now, and I'm super excited.

Chapters 37-end => (view spoiler)[Holy shit so much happened that I forgot!!!! I forgot that she was always supposed to be Fae, but the God of Chaos interfered with that. I forgot so much about Carrion as well. (hide spoiler)]

I'm so glad I reread this. SO SO glad!

I really liked getting his POV on this one.

Part 1 & 2 -> (view spoiler)[This was interesting to see how the battles went. Very interesting to see that Kingfisher saw Saeris when he was taken up by Zareth, although he doesn't know it's her.

I hated that Ren lost his twin, Mirelle. That part made me sad. It was also hard to see how much Kingfisher's past drains him. He has so much guilt.

And man this dragon was NOT NICE!!! lol (hide spoiler)]

I've already giggled/laughed several times. I loved the dynamic and banter between Saeris and Fisher in the first one but I LOVE Carrion with a passion. Carrion and Fisher together are just too funny.

Fisher made a comment about Carrion's stance when he was getting ready to fight. Jamie reminded me of Carrions lineage because I had completely forgot! Are his ears back to normal now then? They were glamoured in the mortal world.

CARRION! Saying that she looks fuckable is asking for a beating haha.

Why are shadows so damn sexy...

The old woman, who is actually the youngest, is super interesting. It definitely sounds like she's able see people's memories or something. Yes Saeris! Stand up for yourself.

I'm super curious about Foley. It seems they definitely need his help but goodness, do I feel bad for him. It sounds like he's been struggling. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Yes!! I can't wait to see more with Onyx. Although, now that I'm 10 chapters in, I'm starting to question if it will be this book or not. He doesn't have a lot on the page. But I loved everything with him in the prologue.

I'm so interested in how all of this will work with Saeris being half vampire.

I also want to know more about Fisher's real name!! I think he knows it, but doesn't realize it.

I also thought it was interesting that Edina was in Layne's body, though. It makes me sad that there is a real possibility that Layne might not come back :(

This rot is going to give them all a run for their money.

I'm so curious to see where Foley fits in with everything. I'm glad that they finally found him. I hope he will be a help to them. I think he will since he was convinced that Saeris tricked Kingfisher. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 10-17 —> (view spoiler)[ I’d forgotten how great the banter was, and compared to everything else I’ve read this year, this one comes out on top. It’s funny, hilarious, and deliciously dirty. Plus, kingfisher brought Carrion and let the fun begin (hide spoiler)]

End of Chapter 15 - My rambling thoughts while reading.

(view spoiler)[Seems we have some sort of new species happening. They are incredibly fucked up and it seems like they are created by someone else as they are somehow coming from Zilvaren! Is Madra creating them? Maybe they're coming from the third (I think that's the one I mean)? If there are more of them I think this could definitely kill a lot of people. The way they absorb the magic used on them is insane!

Curious to see how Danya is in this one. I did not like her very much in the first one, and I don't think I'm alone in that. Definitely seems like there's something going on or going to happen between Carrion and Danya.

Edina taking over Layne's body?! Did not see that coming! I'll definitely be a little sad if Layne doesn't come back. Interesting how they think Edina stayed in this realm through sheer will and that it likely would have been painful. I'm sure it was kind of hard for Fisher to hear that Saeris had talked to her.

I love that Carrion and Fisher are on a mission together. I truly love the dynamic between the two of them.

I'm so curious about his true name. In Kingfishers POV Mirelle told him that his mom said to never reveal his true name. I'm wondering if he actually knows it but has suppressed it somehow because he knows he can't reveal it. I thought it was so sweet when they were talking about marriage and he explained why they couldn't, as they had to exchange their true names.

I really want them to track down Saeris's brother! I'm kind of curious to see if he'll play a bigger role in this at some point.

Shaw isn't great. This demon's trap sounds interesting and not ideal. Who is this new demon we're meeting?! Scorpions are always fun...

I like that it seems Fisher is coming around to Carrion but I don't think he'll ever admit it.

I like that she has Carrion ask questions as a way to give us information. It feels less intense somehow.

Now I understand why Britt you asked us if he knows that by end of book 1 Saeris talked to Zareth.
Let's see how much it will take for them to talk about this.

For being who don't really intervene, Zareth and the twins are keeping busy
Zareth did change fate though that one time by not allowing Saeris to be born fae.
Has he done other than that time? or is it just catastrophe he does not intervene with?
although if I remember correctly he didn't want them to meet so he would in fact avoid a catastrophe... (hide spoiler)]

I was surprised that Elroy knew about Saeris and Carrion. But also it kind of makes sense.

I'm excited to keep seeing how Saeris's power continues to grow and to see exactly what her magic can do.
