November 2025 - Set In An Office

For this prompt, we’re looking for any book set in an office. This may be fully or partially set within an office setting. The definition of office may vary slightly for each of us.

Please add your ideas to our Suggestions List

I have both of these books on my November TBR. From reading the description there is a chance they could be partially set in an office. If anyone has read them can you confirm or dissuade?

Aquaria | 295 comments So I'll be different and go with Shutter by Ramona Emerson. Crime scenes are 'offices' for forensic photographers, after all.

Frances | 8 comments I think John Grisham’s “The Widow” is great option for this mini challenge. It isn’t exclusively in an office but most of it is. It’s a little slow to get started but then it is suddenly jerking you to the edge of your seat.

Hilde Helseth | 259 comments A crime book for me too, Bukken til havresekken by Gunnar Staalesen, the first book about Varg Veum, a Norwegian private detective in Bergen. The book starts in an office.
Bukken til havresekken by Gunnar Staalesen

I have almost all the books about Varg Veum, but so far I've only read some short stories and graphic novels. I will probably read another for 'A Series That's Not Finished Yet'
