It is most definitely not. It fulfills all the criteria for being a planet (hydrostatic equilibrium, basically it’s spherical, and it orbits a star) apart from the fact that it hasn’t cleared its orbital path. Its orbit and Neptunes orbit intersect, plus there’s a few Kuiper Belt objects in its way.

Why don't we ask Pluto what it wants? It's really unfair that we had it at it's full planet status, then ripped that away and made the poor baby a "dwarf" planet. How do we know this is what Pluto identifies as and if it's okay with that label? We need to come up with a form of planet communication before throwing names out. 😠

Well I think you are advocating for the wrong planets rights. Poor Ceres was demoted from planet to asteroid, imagine how she feels 😔
But if we respected their feelings and rights, we’d end up with hundreds of thousands of planets in the solar system, which would be confusing and impractical. We have to draw the line somewhere, no matter how these astronomical bodies may feel.
