Nous Lisons discussion

One thing I learned by reading this book was the author's discussion of being an "ally." I didn't know that was the term for it... I had already learned in the School of Hard Knocks that it's not enough for white people to say, "I'm not a racist." That's just the same as saying "I'm not throwing stones" while I stand by and watch someone else throw stones. That's passive and makes me feel like an accessory. I have to be an ally.
