Asterope (21tauri) | 160 comments I saw the announcement post and I tried to search this group for an answer, but only got a lot of cover change requests. So apologies if this was asked and answered many times! I just want to be sure, because if I am misunderstanding, then it'd be vandalism/tampering.

Regarding:
"In addition, it is now acceptable to update an existing Goodreads cover image for Kindle and Audio Audio editions to match the cover in use in the Amazon.com store for that specific ISBN or ASIN. Updating these covers will update the previously shelved cover for members, and will match the cover seen in their Kindle and Audible Library, as these are also updated. Optionally, an added edition can be created as an 'ebook' or 'audiobook' format in the Goodreads catalog to represent a previously used cover image."

Am I correct to understand that one would go into the Kindle Edition, edit page, delete the (old) cover image, and upload the new one from Amazon? No creation of ACE (unless one wants to)? Just deleting non-current cover image and replacing it in the existing Kindle edition. In the past this would be a major no-no and vandalism of a record, so I just wanted to be super sure before I did this!

Thanks!

Scott | 11868 comments That is correct. The system will not allow you to create an ACE for Kindle or Audible, unfortunately.

Asterope (21tauri) | 160 comments Thanks for answering. I guess that makes things easier, but it still feels weird to delete a cover image and replace it LOL.

Scott | 11868 comments I disagree with the policy and choose not to do those requests.
