NancyJ (nancyjjj) | 11268 comments Try adding the book from the blog list so that you have the same exact edition. I’m shocked by the number of duplicates I have because of unlinked editions. I love the listopias but I always end up having to clean out extras,

What is the book and the book mark? I’ll try to see if it works for me.

I always find books that I read marked “to read”, and vice versa. I assume it’s stray fingers on the touch screen, but it happens a lot. So you might want to double check.

I didn’t know about it until this summer, so I’m missing a couple bookmarks. Nothing on the dark academia list appealed to me.

Check to make sure your date read is after November 1st.

For bite sized books I read Everything Is Tuberculosis. I just cleared it, and I’ll check back to see if it’s still showing up.

I just found a few new ones i didn’t see before

Some of the PBT ideas I think are better tailored to my reading habits.

I can certainly see your point of view. I decided to do them because this is the first year since moving over from Shelfari that my life had some wiggle room; these seemed to fit in with my goals for this year. I liked the first set of challenges and decided to give them a go. Normally, I’m an epic failure at challenges and end up feeling bad after all the work the mods put into setting them up. These appealed to me because they are just off to the side, not a big deal if I do end up abandoning them. They have actually been really good for getting me back in the swing of recording my reading and have exposed me to a broad array of books. My only complaint is how new the vast majority of the titles are. I like to read more widely in terms of publication date; it has also come down to the wire a couple times getting the books off the library waitlist in time.

Thank you so much! I tried using the link straight from the list and putting in my info, being vigilant about the dates. That didn’t actually work, but it gave me a nudge to delete what I had and try the link from the list. Still didn’t work, but I was on a roll deleting, so I deleted everything, used the link off the list per your suggestion, and made extra sure my dates were correct. It worked!

I read 84, Charing Cross Road, which has been on my TBR forever and which I expected to find delightful. I was so disappointed! It simply didn’t land with me. Perhaps it was because I did the audio, but a full cast was used; every voice was distinct, and the narration was great. The prose just seemed mundane and it seemed so pretentious that half the books she mentions are completely unknown. The best part about a book about books is how it gets you more fired up to read. I didn’t add a single book to my TBR as a result of this book.

The Tuberculosis book is on my wishlist. The waitlist is still insane for that one. About ten minutes ago, Omar El Akkad’s One Day, Everyone Will Have Always Been Against This came in. My back up book.
