Jack the Ripper discussion

I’ve been reading a lot of YA lately, and I love when a story takes a familiar theme and turns it into something fresh and meaningful. I recently picked up The Thin Door and was surprised by how deeply I connected with Ramie’s voice, it feels raw, honest, and very human.

What’s a YA book that surprised you lately, either emotionally or in the way it explored its themes?

I’m always looking for character-driven YA stories, especially ones where the main character is questioning the world around them. If you have any recommendations, I’d love to check them out!
