Liam and Miller have to do a tricky balancing act with this case as Rory is an uncooperative person of interest and they can’t fully share details with Nikki. There was the incident at the farm where they discovered human bones that Liam actually tried to trick Nikki to get Rory to come with his equipment to help out. Overall, how did they do? Was it unfair of them to use the ruse to get Rory in front of them or were they just doing their jobs?

They shouldn't have tried to trick Nikki into getting Rory out to the site for questioning. They could have asked her if she was willing to call Rory. It would be up to her if she wanted to cooperate with them in doing so.
