So I spent almost 3 hours doing geometry today (which was just so fun and definitely did not make me want to cry) and I was trying to understand the formula needed to solve the problems, which wasn’t particularly easy to understand.

But the thing is, when I did finally manage to understand it (which made me want to laugh maniacally) I had one question left and I was all excited cuz I would be able to solve it easy peasy- only I didn’t🫣

I did the same thing I had been doing (only this time I actually knew what I was doing) and after I finished writing everything out, I was calculating, but it wasn’t adding up.

I kept trying and trying, I got the same answer every time. Again. And again. And again.

The math was not mathing and I felt like there was something wrong with my brain.
I was not ok.
…

And then I saw it🫠

I had squared something that wasn’t meant to be squared, so everything was messed up and I felt super dumb for not seeing it earlier.😐


So yeah, that’s how math broke my brain today.

Can’t wait to see what it does to me tmr. (Yay😒)

I don't like math (and honestly I'm bad at it) but I was put in the advanced class and skipped 8th grade math entirely. I'm struggling to be honest (compared to the other students in class) I'm fine with a 92 overall but they have 98s
Seriously how? I'm over here getting a C on a quiz?! And they have bonus points? What?

And worst thing is I understand it the day before but test day my brain just short circuits! Also, my teacher takes off five points for one question so if you get 3 wrong you're screwed (tho I love my teacher her grading system stresses me out) Sorry for the rant, I just feel so stupid in that class.

I am an open-minded person, but I will never understand why people like math. And I have a mother that, as a math teacher. Which I swear I am being punish for for something I did in a previous life, lol

I can't say I hate math. I've grown up to love it.
My mother is a math teacher, and if I speak the words disdainfully, I will be hunted down at stake. 😂
