Ann (annrumsey) | 17069 comments We will add books for group read discussions in 2026. So far, we have the following books slotted to start the year and will start filling out the remainder as ideas surface.
Check the Group's Bookshelf for all of the books we have or plan to group read. Here is the list so far for 2026

Coming up:
🔶Dec-2025 /Jan-2026 King Sorrow by Joe Hill (this is a big fat book!)

🔶 Jan/Feb-2026 Gone Before Goodbye by Harlan Coben and Reese Witherspoon (hopefully the hold lists at your local library will calm down by then)

Ann (annrumsey) | 17069 comments Gail made the following suggestion on the 2025 Group Read thread - copying here to discuss! (it looks good to me!) Heartwood

GailW wrote: "Has anyone read Heartwood by Amity Gaige? I saw that Chris Bohjalian gave it a 5 and reviewed it very favorably. Reading the blurb made me very interested. See what you think. Maybe later in 2026? And if it isn't "up your alley" that's okay too"

Carol/Bonadie (bonadie) | 9544 comments Heartwood looks good to me also., It somehow made me think of The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon by Stephen King, which I read years ago when it came out. Except in that one you spend the whole book in the missing person's head as they try to find their way out of the woods, where in this case you follow several people trying to find the missing person, as well as the MP herself.
