Addy came into the main room and sat down in a chair. She saw Simon on the other side of the room. She decided to play a prank on him. "Hey, Simon." Addy said across the room. She waved and smiled at him.
"Yep!" Addy said brightly. "What are ya reading? I have been looking for good books to read. By the way, meet my twin, Beth." Addy said, gesturing to the astral projection of herself behind Simon.
Simon held up the book. "Steelheart. Pretty exciting book." He grinned at "Beth". "Nice to meet you." To Addy, he added, "No one mentioned you had a twin."
"That's because no one knows." Addy said sweetly. "Everyone assumes we're the same person.""No one has figured out yet." Beth said, giggling.
((Didn't see your later posts- sorry for being slow to respond.))Simon shrugged. "It's fairly nice. Better than before."
Addy raised an eyebrow. "Before?" She asked curiously. "You don't have to answer that if you don't want to." Addy added gently. "I tend to be one of the more.. Easygoing people around here, if you're on my good side." Addy said grinning.
"I'd rather not, thanks." Simon nodded. "I've noticed. You're certainly not as intense as Cade or Tarelle."
((Are you getting "Goodreads is over capacity" messages, BTW? Because I have been.))"I'd call that a good thing." Simon raised his hand, and electricity crackled like lightning from one fingertip to the next. "Electricity manipulation, and-" the electricity vanished and a breeze picked up around Addy- "wind manipulation."
((Yes I am.)) "Oooh" Addy squealed. "That is so cool." She said intrigued.
"What do you like to do? Besides, you know, reading." Addy said smiling.
Simon shrugged. "I don't know. Yours sound pretty cool." He shrugged again. "I don't actually read that much- just now and then when I find something that sounds really cool. Usually I spend most of my time training or doing stuff outside- hiking's fun especially."
"Not being able to touch anyone or expose my skin in any way is not fun." Addy snapped. "I'm sorry." Addy apologized immediately. She sighed. "I don't like to talk about it." She said quietly to Simon
Simon shrugged a third time. "It's fine. I can see why that would get annoying." He nodded. "It is fun. What about you?"
"I like swimming. And reading. And teleporting around the world, although I can't do that anymore." Addy said sorrowfully. "I love visiting countries, knowing things about them, speaking their language." Addy said passionately.
"Anyways. I like to listen to music and sing, though I tend to not do it in front of people. Sing, I mean." Addy said, blushing.
"Hmm. Traveling around the world would be cool." Simon leaned back in his seat, crossing his arms behind his head.
"Ya it is. Especially when you just think of a place to go, and just appear there. No planes, no wasted time." Addy said, smiling, thinking of the brief time she spent doing that.
"So..." Addy said, trying to think of something. "Do you know how you got your powers?" She asked him.
"Sounds awesome." Simon smiled wryly. "I'd trade either of my powers to be able to do that." It certainly would've made living on the run a lot easier.
Addy smiled. "I don't see why kids want to fly. I'd say teleport would be easier- and less time consuming." She said
"I'm certain it is." Simon stood and stretched. "Air travel in general is annoying." Not that he'd had much experience- to his mind, airports and airplanes had always seemed like synonyms for potential traps.
Simon hesitated, then replied in an equally quiet tone, "The people who made Jenna and I what we are. Don't ask more."
"Okay. I get it." Addy said quietly. "And I won't." She added. She was fairly glad he wasn't asking any questions- but if he did, she felt she could trust him not to tell.
Addy stood up and manipulated the gravity so she floated in the air near Simon, not wanting to stand. She smiled.
Simon raised an eyebrow. "If you let me choose, I'll pick the first random thing that comes into my head."
Addy straightened out and put her chin in her hands. She was still floating, manipulating the gravity. 'This is fun.' She thought. "They're blue. And I don't really enjoy them much. But you're talking to the girl who doesn't like much healthy food." Addy said, smiling.
"What else can you come up with?" Addy asked him, curious.
"They're not that pleasant. Bit me once." Addy said laughing. "I probably deserved it though. What else can you come up with?" Addy asked
Addy smiled and decided to lift Simon off the ground too. Addy changed so she was sitting, legs crossed over each other.
"A penguin bit you?" Simon laughed. "That's something not many people can say." He stiffened when he felt Addy lift him, but relaxed again- mostly- when there was no sign of being turned upside down or anything of that sort. "Hmm . . . pizza."
