I enjoyed Interactive Rainbow Covers, Interactive Pick 3, Cover Search, and Tea Party.I'd like to see Interactive challenges next year.
I would like to see Bookshelf Reducer and Animal Race return.
The Bake challenge I didn't like as much. I found it as a distraction to find the different words while reading. I stopped after I found the number of items I committed to. I do think others enjoyed this challenge.
Let’s Bake was my favorite since I did so well, those Amish books really helped. Also found the Tea Party and Bible scavenger hunt fun.
I always look forward to the cover and title challenges. I'd love to see some kind of 'clear the shelf' type challenge. I've got way too much on my TBR, and it somehow keeps growing! 😂
I enjoyed Cover Search, Lets Bake, and Title Search the most.I like Michelles suggestion of seeing Bookshelf Reducer and Animal Race return.
Wow - it's really hard to pick favorites out of this year's six-month challenges, I really enjoyed them. If I had to pick a favorite - it would be Most Anticipated Lists. I really enjoy exploring the different lists and finding authors and books I wasn't aware of. I would like to see more challenges that explore lists. My next favorite would be the Interactive ones (Pick 3 and Rainbow Colors). I would like to see Interactive challenges next year.
Tea Party was lots of fun.
I always enjoy the Title and Cover Searches.
Many thanks to Andrea for all these great challenges.
I always go for the Cover and Title search challenges.I appreciate looking through the others but I realize I can't do every challenge I'd like to do.
Thank you Andrea for the work you do on these challenges! The cover search and title search are some of my favorite challenges! I love doing those every year.
The interactive rainbow and pick 3 challenges looked really fun, but due to all the other challenges I was doing I wasn't able to get to them this year.
I always love the cover and title challenges! I also like the traditional rainbow covers as a six-month challenge. I liked the bake challenge, but it was too long and too distracting, maybe something like that just for one month. One reason it was distracting was I had to search for specific words rather than just any baking-related word. I'd like to have the animal challenge again since I didn't get a chance to do it in the past. Another idea I had was to do a Pick a Bouquet challenge, where you keep track of any flowers mentioned in your books to create a bouquet (can be more than one per book). I posted about this on the monthly thread, but perhaps it would be better as a quarterly or six-month challenge.
Thanks for the feedback, folks! Please keep it coming.
For those interested in Bookshelf Reducer & clear the shelf type challenges, we currently have an 18-month challenge that is virtually the same as those since it also features a randomly selected task each week: Grab Bag. It is not too late to join, and this challenge runs through June 2026. If you join to kick off January, you may treat it like a six-month challenge.
