It's time for February's nominations. Guess what! It is a special theme month. This is a short month, so it is a great time to read a novella or a short story.

You can nominate up to two works that are written by a woman and published before 1977. Please state whether or not you can lead the discussion.

Nominations will end on 12/12/25. Please select works that have not been read by this group in the past 3 years. Here is the bookshelf link: https://www.goodreads.com/group/books....

Thanks!

Abigail Bok (regency_reader) | 435 comments Since Jane Austen seems popular here, may I nominate Lady Susan? I could lead.

Anisha Inkspill (anishainkspill) | 29 comments I like the suggestions made so far, last year I finally read Anne of Green Gables,, I wasn't sure what to expect and wouldn't mind reading the next one.

Suggesting Anne of Avonlea by L.M. Montgomery

Behind a Mask, Or, a Woman's Power by Louisa May Alcott or

The Doll: The Lost Short Stories by Daphne du Maurier- this is supposed to be short stories published in magazines during the 1930. So I will leave it to everyone's choice if this book qualifies as it was published in 2011.

I can lead

I'm confused. Are we meant to nominate short stories & novellas only or is that just a suggestion?
