Since I like mysteries that really make me think or have a comical aspect my favorite authors recently are Richard Osman and Benjamin Stevenson.The book I have enjoyed the most recently was The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year by Ally Carter
Like Lisa, I too enjoy Richard Osman. But I've been reading and rereading Agatha Christie as far back as I can remember. Her mysteries may not be as exciting as more current books, but the writing is so wonderful and even though people are murdered the stories are almost peaceful.
