Favorites

Unless I select a book that is a group read, I tend to read the same authors most of the time. I'm looking to expand my horizons, so...

What is your favorite mystery author? It doesn't have to be just one.

What is your favorite mystery book? Again, it doesn't have to be just one.

Favorite Author(s): Michael Connelly, Robert B. Parker, Jonathan Kellerman, Ed McBain.

Favorite book(s): Anything Spenser by Robert B. Parker, Anything Harry Bosch by Michael Connelly, Anything 87th Precinct by Ed McBain.

Since I like mysteries that really make me think or have a comical aspect my favorite authors recently are Richard Osman and Benjamin Stevenson.
The book I have enjoyed the most recently was The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year by Ally Carter

Like Lisa, I too enjoy Richard Osman. But I've been reading and rereading Agatha Christie as far back as I can remember. Her mysteries may not be as exciting as more current books, but the writing is so wonderful and even though people are murdered the stories are almost peaceful.

Ragnar Jónasson is another author I enjoy.

I agree. If you can figure this story through to its end without first reading the reviews (Mary you're as guilty as anyone) you should sit the Mensa IQ test.
