Aayat Bansal | 13 comments I have a few fantasy books on my shelf, but ngl I'm scared to read them.
Do long tails and other "non-human physical features" feel weird and turn anyone off? I'm scared to read it, I don't know how I'll feel..

Meg (whoaeasytiger) | 1 comments nope. I read fantasy with no problem. I once read a series from Ruby Dixon about Barbarian Aliens and it was fantastic. don't be scared to read it! worst thing that can happen is you read it, decide it's not for you and you put it back down again. hey, you might even love it. you just won't know until you try.

#IZZY_DEADLY | 13 comments THere is nothing about fantasy that could turn a human off. The ones with non human physical features are the best! All the fantasy books i have read made sense. Yoiu just need to have an open mind.

Rachel Olivia (rachel_olivia) | 27 comments As long as you don’t go into it thinking everything will be realistic, you’ll have a good time.

Aubrie;) | 64 comments I won't even lie, some are actually crazy weird, but you just have to find the right ones. for instance The Devil's Gunt (TDG Book 1) by Gerald Dean Rice is WEIRD but... One Dark Window (The Shepherd King, #1) by Rachel Gillig is not weird and is fact the love of my life hope that helps lol. You gotta find the authors you like.

message 8: by Zoe (new)

Zoe Martin | 2 comments I don't read FANTASY fantasy, but I've read a good share of romantasy and it can be a bit weird if you're not used to it, but after my first few books I got used to them having elf ears, tails, and weird powers.

message 9: by Aarvi (new)

Aarvi Chopra | 28 comments NOOOOOO pure NO. honestly more realistic than some people these days *cough cough trump*

message 10: by Poppy (new)

Poppy | 10 comments It makes some getting used to, but no, not really weird

Aayat Bansal | 13 comments Anyone read Iron Flame and Gourth wing? I think those are romantasy.. I have those on my bookshelf as a trial for fantasy

✨Vrinda | 9 comments Is harry potter, The cruel prince, and the Percy Jackson considered Fantasy?
If yes, then I have no problem with the genre

the cruel prince in my opinion is defiantly a fantasy, same with Harry Potter.

I've only just started it because I kept seeing it everywhere, I'm pretty sure its a dark romance/ fantasy. its meant to be amazing though from what i've seen in reviews.

message 17: by Victoria (new)

Victoria Falco-Calderon | 14 comments That’s cool. I’m going to read it. Ty

message 18: by Daniel (new)

Daniel E Myers | 3 comments Depends on the author I guess. Do you consider Lord of the Rings, or The Hobbit weird? I am not sure anyone can answer your question, but like others here, I think you should give it a try.

I think you would LOVE the book Black Flame, by Madelynn Dale. A really fun Romantasy novel.

yes in a way, I think. but the cruel Prince resembles fantasy more than the other 2 I think because it has magical elements in it that is more cruel.

message 21: by Anna (new)

Anna | 10 comments Some of them can be, but in all my experience reading fantasy I've never really thought this. I wouldn't let this hold you back from reading fantasy because there are some great fantasy books our there!

message 22: by Danisha (new)

Danisha depends on the book and your preferences but overall I wouldn't say they are weird

message 23: by Gisele (new)

Gisele | 4 comments If you're reading Cruel Prince, just pretend Cardan's tail doesn't exist.

Ikr the tail kind of disturbs the image of Cardan

message 25: by James (new)

James Edmund Dennis | 4 comments It's weird if it's a genre you don't like. It might also feel weird if the writing is bad. Who would think A Wizard of Earthsea is weird? Someone who doesn't like fantasy.
