I'm about halfway through Insectopolis right now. So far, the segment about mosquitos has been particularly interesting to me.
I'm not a big graphic novel person myself, so I'm not sure how the illustrations compare to other works. I would rate them as "average" I suppose. But there have been a couple of times so far where I'm confused which panel I'm supposed to be reading next. Is that just me because of my inexperience with the genre?

I've also struggled with graphic novels and a friend who reads a lot of them said they need to be read twice. Once for the story and once for the artwork
Thanks for the tip, Hayley. I've finished it (once) - I liked it and it definitely held my interest. I learned some things, was reminded of some others and would recommend it to others as an introduction to the world of entomology.
I just finished this book and loved it. More science books should be written in the graphic novel style. Beautiful artwork, and I loved the insects personalities. I think this is an approachable science book for people of all ages.
