((It looks great!))
Scarletta walked into her dorm. She carried an orange backpack and nothing else. She figured she would survive with the clothing she brought with her. But she had mostly brought toys and a few books.
Scarletta walked into her dorm. She carried an orange backpack and nothing else. She figured she would survive with the clothing she brought with her. But she had mostly brought toys and a few books.
Cecily wandered down the hall into the dorm. There was a young girl already on one of the beds. Damn. She was expected to share a room with a baby? This school was goofy if they thought that would work in their favor. "Uh, hey." Cecily said rather dumbly after realizing the girl was probably wondering who she was/why she still standing in the doorway, "I'm Cecily. Cecily Caraballo." She squinted at the girl. She definitely recognized her from somewhere. "Who are you?"
Scarletta squinted back at Cecily, just for the sake of squinting at people. "Scarletta. But don't call me Scar....Ever." she said. The girl was obviously older than her, and she didn't want her to think that Scarletta was a moron.
"You sure about that Scar?" Cecily smirked, amused by the girls attitude. She was starting to like her. "Scar's bomb. Like Lion King. Super dangerous."
"I don't even know what the Lion King is." Scarletta said haughtily, already annoyed. She walked into the room and set her backpack down on her bed. "But you got one thing right; I'm super dangerous."
"Forreal?!" Cecily said staring incredulously at the little one. She paused for a moment after realizing she was serious, pursed her lips and clasped her hands together. "So. Youre telling me you ain't never seen the Lion King. Scar, if we're gonna have to room together sweetheart, that's something that'll need to be fixed."
Scarletta scrunched up her face and stuck her tongue out at Cecily. "I don't need fixing, sweetheart, I'm the definition of perfect! And of course I've never seen the Lion King, Sesame, I don't waste my time with childish things."
Cecily raised an eyebrow. The level of sass she was receiving. The girl clearly didn't know better. Cecily walked over to her, wheeling her bag behind her. She patted Scarletta on the head and crouched down to her level. "oh Scar honey. You're gonna learn today. One, dont talk back to me. Two, its se-sa-lee, I ain't no damn hamburger bun. Third, you will respect Disney." She said in a sickly sweet voice before straightening back up and going to where the other bed was. "oh also. You'll regret that color choice. Clashes with everything." She said, pointing to her backpack.
Scarletta glared furiously at Cecily, now nicknamed Sesame in Scarletta's mind. "1. I don't see any scar honey. It would be totally gross if you found a scar or a scab in your honey, and I barely tolerate honey to start out with. 2. Don't pat my head, I've warned you already that I'm extremely dangerous. I will talk back to anyone I want to. 2, You sure look like a damn hamburger bun. 3, I don't just hand out my respect to anybody who thinks it would be nice. My respect is earned. And that backpack color is the color of Camp Half Blood."
Cecily took a step back. Of course. That was why shawty thought she could talk to her that way. Demigods. Cecily wrapped Scarletta in a big hug. "all is forgiven child. You're a demigod. I'd be more offended if you didn't try to check me. Did Chiron set us up as room mates?!" Cecily broke out into a smile. Finally, a little bit of home in this new school. Hold up though. She thought back on Scarlettas statement previously. "wait quick question though. Can honey have scars? Is that a thing?"
"Eugh! I hate being hugged! Eugh! Physical contact, gross!" Scarletta exclaimed. "I have no idea what Chiron's plans are. I don't think he would care if I died. And....um....I guess if you picked off a scab and dropped it in honey? I'm not sure about that part..."
"What? Dont say that. Chiron cares about all his campers." She stared at the girl, so full of bitterness from such a young age. "Being a half-blood sucks. Alot. But you know, things'll be okay. We'll be okay." She raised her hand for a high five. "is this too much physical contact or nah?" She winked.
"It's okay." Scarletta grumbled, high fiving her. She made no comment on the we'll be okay thing. She may as well have one or two friends around here.
"Nice!" She started to unzip her nag and unpack. She paused for a moment, biting her lip before turning back around to Scarletta once more. "aye, who's your godly parent? You been claimed yet?"
Scarletta frowned. "No. No idea. I thought the gods were supposed to do that super quick, but apparently my godly parent has a stick up their butt. Who's yours?" she asked. She wished she knew who her parent was. She had a few clues, but she couldn't even narrow it down to male or female. Having amnesia sucked. She probably could've woken up the unconscious woman and asked her all the questions she wanted, but Scarletta had been too frightened.
"Eh, you aight." Cecily added after laughing for a minute at the eight year old saying their immortal all powerful parent had a stick up their butt. "They'll get you eventually, don't worry." She smiled knowingly. She saw alot of herself in Scar. I mean, not really, but she wished she did. Scar was about to be bae when she grew up. "Oh!" She remembered, "yeah, my dad's Zeus." She said, almost apologizing. People always assumed she was kidding, or super cocky about it. Actually though, it was just a lot of added pressure. People assumed the daughter of Zeus to be this boss ass chick, and Cecily... well Cecily wasn't exactly that. Before she got claimed, she thought for sure she was Hermes. For sure. But you know. Things don't always work out like that.
"Oh, yeah, that guy. Guess he'll be having a lot of kids now." Scarletta said. "So can you fly? Or shoot lightning bolts?" She wished her parent would hurry up. But Scarletta was mostly wondering right now about Cecily's powers.
"Uhh...." Cecily was never quite sure how to explain her powers, and started trying to explain with her hands. "I mean.. yeah. kind of mostly. Like I can make air, like... clouds under my feet and kinda hover around, and I can get like baby lightning bolts, and... yeah." She finished lamely.
Scarletta shrugged. She wasn't sure if she should talk about her powers. "Cool." she said. She didn't think it was that cool. "How long did you stick around at camp? Chiron got rid of me almost immediately. I think I annoyed him. A LOT."
"Forreal?!" Cecily said, her eyebrows furrowing together. "Chiron. He got rid of you ?" She looked around in disbelief, "I highly doubt that. I've been at camp for five years and I've never seen him be anything but sweet. I came here because he wants me to associate with, you know, others, but it's not safe anywhere but here." She frowned. "Why do you say you annoyed him? I'm sure that's not true."
"I refused to do anything that he wanted me to do. I'm only 8 years old, and he seriously expected me to climb up a wall that has lava on it? Come on! I'm dangerous and all, but that's a lot. And when they tried to get me to sing, I screamed instead. I hate singing." Scarletta said. She didn't have too many good memories from camp. She felt out of place, not knowing who her parent was. Who either of her parents were.
((sorrysorrysorry been hella busy!!))Cecily gazed blankly at Scarletta. She didn't know what to say to this girl. "Uh..." She stared, "that's something." She nodded uncomfortably. Cecily wasn't sure what was up with this kid. She didn't blame Chiron. This girl was a handful.
((It's okay!))
"Totally. I'm something." Scarletta said. "I think he just got rid of me because of the screaming thing. Oh, and I refused to burn up my food every night. What's the point of that?!"
"Totally. I'm something." Scarletta said. "I think he just got rid of me because of the screaming thing. Oh, and I refused to burn up my food every night. What's the point of that?!"
Thank the gods this kid didn't like fire. Cecily didn't know what she was expecting, rooming with a fellow camper but this wasn't it. She was going to have to watch her back with this one. Cecily glanced around the room uncertainly. "Uh, you still like screaming?"
Scarletta rolled her eyes. "I don't like it, but I'll scream if I need to. I just screamed so I wouldn't have to sing. And it worked." she said.
"Why do you hate singing so much?" Cecily had never actually met someone who didn't enjoy singing. She met people who didn't want to do it in public. Loads of people like that. But no one who actually hated doing it.
"It makes me feel weird! I don't think I'm a good singer. And I can never remember the lyrics to anything." Scarletta said.
"Well, you don't have to really remember the lyrics. Everyone's singing with you." Cecily said still put off by Scarletta's previous comment. But you know. She wasn't gonna trip about it. The girl clearly had some issues she needed to work out.
"But what if you don't want to sing the song they're singing? What if you want to sing a different song?" Scarletta asked.
Scarletta's eyes became huge. "How about 'Kill Me Now, a Crazy Person's Trying to Make Me Sing'?" Scarletta asked sarcastically.
"Damn shorty, it's never that crucial." Cecily said, very apparently judging Scarletta. "You'll be aight."
Scarletta glared at Cecily. "Shorty? You think I'm a shorty, Sesame?" she asked.
"Well..." Cecily paused for a second, before making up her mind. "Yes. You a little baby child." She said, ruffling Scarletta's hair.
Scarletta leaned away, face turning red. "Oh, if I'm such a little baby child, then why have 5 guys asked me out on dates over the course of my life?" she asked.
"Five?" Cecily said incredulously, recoiling from Scarletta. She was speechless, but not for long. "Yas baeeeeee!" Cecily said, nodding and smiling, "kill it!"
Scarletta rolled her eyes. "I'm just kidding. It was only one, and he thought I was older. He felt pain not long before I ran away from him." she said.
Scarletta grinned wickedly. "I kicked him in the groin."
