What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

Hi,
I read this book sometime between 2003 and2007 ( I remember 'cause I was in college when I read it) as an ebook. I have no clue about the cover page or author, but I do remember the entire story.
The heroine is jilted at the altar.she n the guy both leave town.the best man at the wedding is in love with heroine and he is a cop. Few years later she comes back to town, she is a vet. She falls in love the best man; he has always loved her. It has HEA.
I distinctly remember there being a scene abut her delivering twin horse babies and she mentions how rare it is.
I am not talking about 'the best man' by kristan Higgins.
Any help is appreciated, I have been looking for it for quite some time now.

Maybe some book from Jill Shalvis? I know that Hope Flames has heroine vet and hero the cop, but I don't think there ever was any kind of relationship before (friendship or any other)... But maybe some other book?

No, it isn't Jill Shalvis. Her animal magnetism series I think came sometime around 2010. I have read this book before that.
