Elizabeth (elizabethlk) | 379 comments I would be inclined to read Parable of the Sower by Octavia E. Butler, Midnight’s Children by Salman Rushdie, Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro, or Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston. Ideally all of them!

I have a very large physical collection and own all four of those without having read them properly. Books I own often get set to the side because I have library due dates to worry about. I'm on something of a library diet to give me more time with stuff I have on my shelves, so I would hope to get to all of these, but if I do even one of them that would be great haha

Rob Sullivan | 7 comments I've read all of these books except for Twilight and Vineland, neither of which I'm super excited to read, so I think I'm going to stretch the definition of this category and read one of the books they green lighted on their episode on what books from 2025 they think will become classics, maybe Flesh or Audition.
