I received one in my email the other day which didn't surprise me too much after receiving that announcement for the Outlander premiere in my email the previous week. We are no longer just a community of readers, we are suckers to push product upon.
The lack of ads on Leafmarks is wonderful! I think I'll start using the buying links that just showed up there when I do buy books to hopefully help keep the site ad-free.
Has anybody tried AdBlockPlus? Does it block this GR "innovation"?
I have AdBlock, and I don't have the "feature," but I also don't know if I'm in the "lucky" beta-testing group.

I will keep my fingers crossed. I have not seen it yet either.

GRamazon is now using current book reading to make recommendations for me as i refuse to rate books once read.
Wonderperson89 wrote: "When I have Sponsored Books in Feed I automatically say not interested I refuse to engage."That sort of is engaging. I wonder if it's better to not click on anything at all. Just ignore.

I get Sponsored Books which I immediately dismiss of course because I refuse Corporate manipulation of reading and book search per se because I find books carry their own further book recommendations esp applies to academic books.
Wonderperson89 wrote: "I am forced to click to get rid of it so GRamazon gets my data regardless."Don't get rid of it. Just let it sit there and ignore it. That's what I do. (I clicked once by mistake because I thought it was a friend's update but I try to be careful to not do that.)
