- May come across as rough around the edges, untrusting, but is quite insecure
- When she was younger, she was madly in love with a boy and almost got married; accidentally read his mind and found out that he was just using her.
- She’s trying to be more trusting right now.
- Has extraordinary control over her powers

{ power } telepathyIsolde’s telepathy is always active, which means that she hears thoughts constantly. This means her powers are for the most part ineffective in large crowds, and can leave Isolde overwhelmed and exhausted. Nowadays, she has learnt how to tune out thoughts on command, and can hone onto a person’s thoughts by touch, which does not drain her energy as much. She can also speak telepathically, though projecting her thoughts into someone else’s mind without physically touching them may sap at her energy.
One time Isolde tried to isolate a person’s thought in a crowd. She ended up passing out for three days, so she’s not keen to try that part of her powers again.

{ history }From a young age, Isolde was able to hear voices inside her head. It was a constant flow of words and jumbled up sentences, and it never stopped, However, it wasn’t until she was seven that she realised that it wasn’t any random voices she heard, but it was the thoughts of those around her. Which was why, at a young age, she never told anyone that she had strange abilities, and learned how to tune out those voices instead of letting them bother her. When she was ten, she figured that her strange talents might have a use after all. After some experimentation, she taught herself how to read a target’s mind on command — only if she was touching them.
For the better part of her life, Isolde has learnt how to ignore her powers, not wanting to invade other people’s privacy and wanting to learn how to trust and put her faith in others. It was this naivety that caused her to let her guard down. She fell deeply in love with another man, and they were supposed to be married. However, she once lost her concentration and control over her powers while she had contact with him, and accidentally found out that he was using her for her money. Disappointed and heartbroken with humans, Isolde fled her old life until she found Professor X’s Academy, impressing them with her extraordinary knack for control, and was appointed teacher soon after.
{ personality }Isolde isn’t exactly the most outspoken woman. She’s certainly quite kind, caring and almost motherly, but after the incident with her ex-fiance, she’s not sure who to trust anymore, and can be quite insecure at times. That having said, she’s still willing to open up to people — it’s just not been the same after the incident.

Those who know Lola would describe her as a never-ending source of optimism and joy. Although she isn’t the smartest kid on the block, she is hardworking and curious, and adapts very quickly to new situations. Eleven year old Lola Lennox has had a relatively carefree childhood. Her father — Jeremiah — also a mutant like her though nowhere near as powerful, was the one who raised her and the one who taught her how to fly with her wings. Although he wasn’t an experienced father, he was determined to give only the best to his little baby daughter. So, Lola Lennox grew up in Mutant-sympathising neighbourhoods, sheltered from the terrors Anti-Mutant organisations brought.
However, on one uneventful night, her father suddenly decided to whisk her away to Professor Xavier’s Academy under the guise that she was to make some new friends and further develop her powers. In reality, Friends of Humanity had caught up to Jeremiah Lennox. Unable to put his daughter in harms way, he entrusted Lola to the Academy and set off to make sure that the bounty on him was removed once and for all.

Lola has two white, feathery wings on her back that let her fly. When she’s not using them, she folds them and hides them underneath her trademark bright red jacket. Although her wings are large and powerful, they are designed for speed and not sustained flight. Hence she cannot fly for very long without the aid of wind currents.

He’s calm, collected. This was a man who never quite walked in the light because he never thought he belonged, yet never quite walked in the shadows. He is incredibly disciplined and logical, taking care to not let his emotions get the better of him while making decisions. Nathaniel was born in Seoul, Korea, and moved with his family to America when he was ten years old. Although his home was far, he returned to visit his relatives often. His uncanny mutant abilities surfaced at a young age, causing him to be a favourite amongst his relatives, due to the nature of his powers and the way he could communicate with the dead. He was often asked to perform his “magic tricks” by his living relatives, while his ancestors constantly bombarded him with requests to speak with descendants, loved ones and such. This happened many times during visits to shrines and temples, and you can imagine how detrimental that was to a child — having his likability judged by an ability he could not help but have.
When Nathan was 21, he found out about the Institute after witnessing a fight in a bar. A spectre had warned him that something was about to happen, and being a good Samaritan, he could not stand by and watch. The bartender had kindly given him and the mutant he’d rescued instructions to the Institute, and he has been with the X-Men ever since. His codename, Ghostmind, comes from a nickname he was given when he was young due to his special abilities.
He doesn’t particularly hate his powers, but he doesn’t like being exploited for them either. He has long since been able to control how much his powers affect him, especially while being possessed by astral beings, but he would really appreciate the comfort of human warmth since his body temperature is extremely low. Nathaniel has the power of astral empathy. Although he cannot see spirits as people with astral vision do, he can sense their presence and their emotions when they pass through him. Each being feels like a space void of warmth or a chill consuming him, accompanied by a blast of emotion, whether positive or negative. Depending on the spectre’s powers, he can communicate simple messages back to the land of the living, or even be possessed by particularly strong beings. (This has led to quite a few close brushes in the past when his mind wasn't strong enough to resist the beings in question.) In return for being a spokesperson of the dead, though, he has some degree of immunity towards psychic powers.
However, because astral beings are so cold and the fact that they can be anywhere, Nathan’s body temperature is often that of a fridge. In order to hide this fact, he wears long sleeved clothes and gloves all year round, and his room has the average temperature of a sauna.
