I did that with another book I wanted to read. Sometimes you'll get lucky and Amazon will send the in-stock ones early. (Hasn't happened with my latest :( ).

I do it all the time to avoid shipping charges with Indigo (25$ minimum). Usually I don't match up two books I can't wait for, but I did in this instance...:-(

I'd like to suggest The Pilo Family Circus. Very weird tale, super-imaginative, not straight-up horror like Stephen King but very creepy nevertheless.

No theme this month. As Ted Nugent put it, it's a free for all.

I would read pilo, been putting.it of for awhile now.

I've noticed Molly Tanzer's Vermillion is getting pretty stellar reviews.

If it doesn't have to be a novel, Cody Goodfellow's short story collection Strategies Against Nature would be my recommendation.

I'm in the mood for a bryan smith, maybe Go Kill Crazy! The Late Night Horror Show or Blood and Whiskey if anyone would be interested in any of those.

Hi Robert, authors are not allowed to promote their own books for the monthly read but you can start your own buddy read and see if others will join you.

Scot: I would like to suggest discussions about certain places to find good books where self-published writers have posted . . . such as Google+ (do authors even post books there?) Tumblr, Pinterest, Facebook groups (so many), Instagram (I am naive. Do authors post book covers here or is it just for annoying selfies?), Amazon sites, etc.

A great read is The Dark by James Herbert. Great author of horror, one of my faves.
