2017 Reading Challenge discussion

Once again, I have managed to stay in my "comfort zone" by reading this book. Having said that, this is an amazing book. Although it deals with a lot of historical events, it is written in an engaging style that almost reads like a novel. There are some sections dealing with political events that I found a bit tiresome, but the stories of their childhoods, married life and various experiences are fascinating. I have always been interested in Victoria and Albert. I truly believe they loved each other. Sadly, the expectations placed upon them because of her role as Queen and his often undefined place in England often put them at odds. A great read for anyone who likes history.
