Hope | 22 comments So I was thinking, what are some of your favorite quotes? These can be from the book, movie, stage, or even the actors. One of my favorite quotes is from Sierra Boggess: "You are enough, you are so enough. It is unbelievable how enough you are! Accept yourself and people will accept you" I can't wait to here some of yours!

Oh I ADORE that quote!! And I LOOOVVVEEEEE Sierra to bits! She's amazing, talented, funny and just wonderful :D
I absolutely adore this one of hers:
"Today will be what it is. I will be what I am. And there will be beauty in both."

Amy Ok, in terms of Phantom quotes....

"Angel of Music! You deceived me! I gave my mind...blindly!" Sierra's does this heart wrenchingly (is that a word?!)...

"For either way you choose, he/you has to/cannot win!"

I'll definitely be posting more on here when I've got time :) I love so many quotes!

Amy Sorry this is really long, hehe.

Ramin Karimloo:
“For me, fame means nothing - what little I have or don't have, I don't care.
But, if people come to know me through something like that (the Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall) then I am really proud. I am so proud of being a part of that - and also so proud of the work done in it by Sierra and Hadley and the company. So, if that is how people first get to know me or the first time they see me in something? That is such an honour - I am so proud of that show. That was blood, sweat, tears and a lot of care. And, it's amazing that it's had such an afterlife.”

Amy Emmy Rossum:

"Being yourself is one of the hardest things because it's scary. You always wonder whether you'll be accepted for who you really are. I decided to call my record 'Inside Out' because that's my motto about life. I don't think you ever succeed at trying to be anyone else but who you truly are."

Amy Question: "What is your best advice for stage confidence?"

"To know that YOU are enough. Just how you show up in this world, you are enough. You don’t have to try and be anything more than who YOU are. Don’t try and be anyone else. “Be yourself, everyone else is taken!” Don’t do anyone else’s version of a song. Do YOUR version. Trust that you are enough, if you are in your truth. Also work hard, be overly prepared and then be flexible! And if you feel fear, that’s ok, THANK fear for showing up and reminding you that you are alive, and then send it on its way because it doesn’t serve you any longer! And most importantly, don’t seek out the opinions of others. Remember “what other people think of me is none of my business!”
~ Sierra Boggess

Hope | 22 comments Oh My Gosh! Those are some AMAZING quotes. Another one I like is: "Maybe we can scare away the ghost of so many years ago, with a little ILLUMINATION!" ~ Auctioneer. I love it when the word illumination is stressed. And the quote above is so amazing! You should thank fear for coming and then push it aside to get done what needs to be done! Oh how I adore Sierra!

Yes yes YES!! Gosh, we have a lot in common :)

And I love the whole of "Twisted Every Way"; that's full of brilliant lines.

Also, "Wandering child, so lost, so helpless, yearning for my guidance..." Ramin does that so it makes my heart melt, seriously, his voice is magical.

Oh, the way Ramin does it....It is magical! Twisted Every Way is another good one too. I think that the best lines are: "Pitiful creature of darkness, what kind of life have you known? God give me courage to show you, you are not alone." ~ Christine

Yes, that final lair quote is amazing. And in my opinion, no one does it better than Ramin, Sierra and Hadley :D

Amy Sierra Boggess:
“You are enough, you are so enough. It is unbelievable how enough you are! –I get a lot of people asking me “how do I get to do what you do?” and a lot of times I think people are looking for the easy way, or...or what’s the secret. And there isn’t an easy way and I think that’s something very important to know that all of us who have “made it” in this career on the West End or Broadway or whatever, have worked really hard and so it’s just knowing, or really knowing, that if this is what you want, you work really hard, you make sure you have a ton of drive, and you don’t apologise for yourself. Accept yourself and people will accept you.”

Amy "If I am the Phantom, it is because man's hatred has made me so. If I am to be saved, it is because your love redeems me." ~ Erik, from the book.

Hope | 22 comments "I am your angel of music" ~The Phamntom The way Ramin Karimloo does this is amazing! Also, I like how he sings "Christine, I love you" at the end is soooo sweet. It was so heart felt, it almost seemed real. I wish Ramin wasn't married. That way he and Sierra could get to gether. They would make the perfect coupel.

Oh, Rierra would be perfect together (as far as we phans can see!). But Ramin is obviously very in love with his family and kids; he even named his youngest son Hadley after his good friend and co star Hadley Fraser!

message 17: by Hope (new)

Hope | 22 comments I know! I found that so awesome when I saw that he named him Hadley. I just watched the 25th anniversary yesterday and my family looked at me like I was insane when I said something along the lines of Rierra. I must say though, my uncle (who "doesn't like this stuff") sat and watched the entire thing, silently. Ha Ha, now I can make him watch all of my theater favorites like: Wicked, Newsies, Les Miz 42nd Street, and sooo many more.

Haha that's hilarious :) My Mum loves musicals (Les Miz is her favourite) and she was the one who got me hooked on Phantom. My Dad's also partial, but he mainly likes the music, not so much the story.
Yes, you should make him watch those! Everyone should be educated in some of the classic musicals (Phantom and Les Miz).

message 19: by Hope (new)

Hope | 22 comments Ok, one of my favorite quotes come from, sadly, the movie. It is the famous Carlotta quote: "Where's my doggie? Bring my doggie, bye bye!" I also like the "I'm really leaving!" I also really like the "And what is it that we meant to wrote? Err, written.

Mili Fay | 10 comments "...But his voice filled my spirit
with a strange, sweet sound...
In that night there was music in my mind...
And through music my soul began to soar!
And I heard as I'd never heard before...
RAOUL
What you heard was a dream and nothing more...
CHRISTINE
Yet in his eyes
all the sadness of the world
Those pleading eyes,
that both threaten and adore"

This is such a lovely piece of music. Gets me ever time.

Get me every time, too, but the one that kills me is when he sings: "Christine, I love you..." Then they go into "All I Ask Of You" Reprise. It's like a punch to the heart with every note.
