I was hoping to get Philippa Gregory's The White Queen for this task, but my local used book store only has The Constant Princess. It is about Katherine of Aragon but it seems to focus more on how she became queen than about her years as queen. Would this book be all right or does it have to be a king or queen?

Sarah - I imagine it depends. For example, The Princess Diaries wouldn't work b/c she is a fictional monarch.

I am having the hardest time finding a book that I would actually like reading for this challenge.

I had a hard time also Sarah. I ended up reading a young adult book about Anastasia that I liked. Fairytale-ish but a quick easy read. by Suzanne Weyn

According to the will of King Henry the VIII, Mary and Elizabeth were illegitimate and thus unable to become Queen; King Henry wanted the Grey sisters and their sons to be the heirs to his son Edward (King Edward VI). Edward also wanted and this and included them in his will as his successors. This is the story of why this didn't happen.
