The first book I am reading for the challenge is The Violence by Delilah S. Dawson. The very first sentence is: "The first recorded incidence of the Violence occurred as Ruth Belmont of Land O'Lakes, Florida, was putting a tub of mayonnaise in her cart at a warehouse story on Tuesday, April 15, 2025." Dawson does the slow burn and women's rage like no one else. This book is so good. I stopped reading it for a few days because I got nervous about what was going to happen next! LOL. I'm only 146 pages in, so there's plenty left for the challenge. :) It's a horror/thriller/dystopian novel.
Working on my books for the prompts, but already got my first one for March Winds.Prompt:
March in the title or author name, or the month of March mentioned in the text
American Revolutions: A Continental History, 1750-1804
(March is mentioned on page 95 when discussing the inclusion of the Sugar Act in the 1700s)
If anyone want posting examples for months in the text, I've found the three months in three of my first five books for this season (pages are my kindle edition):
The Radium Girls, Kate Moore
“Finally, towards the end of March, her perseverance paid off. ‘I was asked to paint dials,’ she wrote excitedly; ‘I said I would like to try it.’” P22
Secrets by the Sea, Kathi Daley
“Sixteen-year-old Naomi Collins disappeared on April 12 2002.” P1, first sentence
A Murder is Announced, Agatha Christie
“It’s a fine murdering day, (sang Bunch)
And as balmy as May
And the sleuths from the village are gone.” P15

I'm going to say yes, as if it's flowering like that - i.e. not obviously cut and put in a vase - then it's in the earth.

There are also references to both March and April in the short, fun science fiction book Automatic Noodle:
p. 126 "It was March 1st, and Cayenne had seven days before their next loan payment was due."
And leading into p. 127 "And their first lease payment would be due in early April."
