I am watching (okay, listening to) a very beautiful program on Fox news about the Pope. (If you are interested, I could look and see if it will be shown later on...) and Tony Blair was interviewed. He is a very interesting and spiritual man. I was very surprised at his grasp of the necessity of having God at the center of our lives (you are probably aware that he was converted a few years ago). When he became Prime Minister of England he was very firmly told that 'We don't do religion'.

Another person of interest is Pat Robertson, who will be meeting with the Pope. He is saying that in this secular world (Europe is nearly completely secular) it is very necessary for all believing Christians to pull together.

There were some very interesting facts about the results of the acceptance of abortion, infanticide, homosexuality and euthenasia in Europe. Apparently each country will (I don't remember the time frame, but soon) lose approximately 50-60 percent of their population.

Must go and listen some more!

We should pray for our President as he meets with Pope Benedict. Now, I wish I could remember what it was P. Bush did or said, but it sounded astonishing like he was taking a new look at the Catholic Faith.

His wife's Chief of Staff is a very devout Catholic; maybe she has some pull with God!

Colleen (colleenmomtofive) | 1 comments I was happy to hear that Tony Blair converted, but I do believe he still hasn't given up his feelings that abortion and homosexuality are A-OK. He really must give these ideas up to be truly Catholic. These things are mortal sins. We all have weaknesses, but we must at least acknowledge that a mortal sin is a mortal sin, and ask forgiveness (in the confessional) if we fall into these sins. I think Pope Benedict is a wonderful gift to our Church.
