The Owl Post Office is the equivalent to a Muggle post office, but with owls delivering the letters. The owls are colour-coded for short distances and long distances, and also for how fast one wants the letter to be delivered. The Owl Post Office is used by those who do not have an owl or don't have contact with one. The owls send newspapers and newsletters as well as personal letters and packages. It is said due have a putrid smell equivalent to a dung bomb. Hogsmeade has an Owl Post Office.
