Thank you, Rose. You can go to www.tickerfactory.com and create one. It's free and they have lots of cute ones. If you have trouble with it, I can email the instructions to you. Just let me know.
I just finished July's People by Nadine Gordimer. It is a very interesting story about couple escaping with their servant, July to his village in order to survive the war. A bit choppy, but an interesting read.
Definitely went to the website and was alarmed by the ovulation counter... O.OP.S.
Thanks for not commenting on my list, ROSE.
Just finished Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay. It was a wonderful book. Very sad, intense, but very good.
Okay, so I just finished Amsterdam by Ian McEwan. It just wasn't that good for me.It started out great, but then seemed to wander in different directions. While I can appreciate that to a certain extent, I just didn't get it here.
2 Stars
I just finsihed I Am Third (TV tie-in): The Inspiration for Brian's Song by Gale Sayers...a really good read.I watched the movie, "Brian Song" back in the late '70's and like many others of that time, was very moved by the relationship between Gale Sayers and Brian Piccolo.
4 Stars
Just finished Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë, and what an amazing story! I have no idea how I've made it all these years without reading such a wonderful book.
I just finished Queen Isabella: Treachery, Adultery, and Murder in Medieval England by Alison Weir. I enjoyed the book tremendously. It was a 5 star rating for me. That is not to be taken as an indication that I understood or agreed with Isabella...neither did I understand or agree with King Edward II. However, I do find both individuals very fascinating, and I enjoyed this author's perspective.
