Who is your fave character so far? What do you think of the special box? What are your first impressions of Midnight for Charlie Bone?

Why are there two discussions for this? But I like the format--like, breaking it up into chapter sections.

I like him, he seems older then ten. I like that.

I think he's one of those cute boy characters that's a little shy but will rise to the occasion when he finds he has to be a leader.

That's what I like about the Charlie Bone and SH series, their kind of alike but not 100% alike.

Cool, I'm glad you guys agree. That was the main reason that I recommended these books for the group read. And the fact that it has magic. What do you think of Charlie's endowment?

Charlie's endowment is very unique and interesting. Jenny Nimo was very good at creating everyone's endowments.

I think that would be cool to do but it would totally creep me out, especially the first time.

Yeah, having an endowment would be pretty cool. If I was expecting to get an endowment I don't think I would be scared the first time it happens, otherwise I would be.

If I had great-aunts like Charlie, then I would NOT think an endowment would be cool. Yikes.

Yeah, it would be kind of scary if your aunts wanted you to be evil or wanted you dead.

Yeah. But fortunately none of my aunts want to kill me.

I've read it before, but I'm when Charlie is at Benjamin's house after his detention in his first week of school.

I think Bloor's would be interesting at first, then I would probably grow to hate it.
