Is anyone reading this book?

I was kind of wondering when this book was chosen if the people who were voting for it had read it. It's harder these days with the awareness people have about the damage done by pedophiles to look at it as just literature. Most stories in this vein are now told by the victim rather than the perpetrator. I read it after reading Reading Lolita in Tehran and I plan to revisit her discussion of it as she talks about the Iranian culture post fundamentalist revolution. It definitely took another context for me to want to wade through it!
