Kelli's 75 Challenge for 2010
1. 1st to Die by James Patterson. 3 stars. Another intriguing detective mystery by James Patterson.2. How To Talk To A Widower by Jonathan Tropper. 4 stars. A surprisingly light, funny book about grief. Chosen as a Summer Read by Richard and Judy's Book Group in the U.K. awhile back.

Kelli, I've heard some mixed reviews about Niffenegger's "The Time Traveler's Wife". I picked that up and didn't get very far with it. Still, I might try again sometime.
I'm wondering what you thought of "Symmetry"?
Kay, "The Time Traveler's Wife" is one of the best books I have ever read. You must try again. Seriously, it is wonderful. "Symmetry" was okay, but not on the same level.

Kelli, I was thinking about "Going Rogue". Is it worth reading?

What did you think of Julia and Julia? Worth reading? Or should I just go for the film?

Have you read others by Anita Shreve? Is she good? I have one of hers "Sea Glass" in my TBR stacks, it looks good, so just wondering, if you thought she was a good writer? =)
Hi Joy. Yes, Anita Shreve is a very good writer and I really enjoy her books. Having said that, I think the one you have "Sea Glass" is not one of her best.

"Aw, boogers! lol...thank you so much for answering my question, so, which one IS (in your opinion)her best, or your favorite of hers? Maybe I should start with it instead.=)
Joy, Fortunes Rock might be the best Shreve in my opinion. I wish I was just discovering her and had all her great books ahead of me like you :)~

I will probably go "Shreve Nutso" Now. When I find an author I really really like I go crazy and start reading everything of theirs I can get my hands on! lol...Oh boy!!!
Kelli, I have both The Mermaid Chair and Three Cups of Tea on my TBR pile. Any thoughts you would like to share about these two?
Hi Andrea: They are good and absolutely worth reading. They were on my TBR pile for way too long, I should have read them ages ago. I highly recommend both of them. K
Andrea: It is the best one. It is different from the other two of hers that I've read. It is not a crime novel. It is about a dysfunctional family and amongst the tragedy you find yourself laughing instead of crying. What could be depressing is written with just enough humor to swallow it all. I loved it. You must read it. Do you have a copy? Mine is very used but I can pass it on to you if you'd like. Kelli
Kelli, what did you think about New Moon, have you seen the movie yet? I read the book right before seeing the movie and became a huge Jacob fan...lol I'm bringing Eclipse on vacation so we'll see if that changes my dedication to Jacob...lol
I haven't seen the movie yet, but will do so VERY soon. I really enjoyed the book and am also a Jacob fan. Can't wait to read Eclipse. Never thought I'd get into it so much.

Joy: Three Cups of Tea is definitely worth reading. I had it on my TBR list for way too long. As for the Twilight series, I just borrowed Eclipse and will read it very soon. It's crazy how addicting these things can be. Kelli

A series helps the story just be a bit longer...and very addicting!! I am going to have to borrow Three Cups from the library I think...Sooo many books!!

Looking forward to doing this again.
