Okay, so we already discussed which texts we liked best. Here's another debate for you.

Who is more of a hero: Shahrazad or Sundiata?

Back up your opinion.

I would say that Shahrazad is more of a hero than Sundiata. Eventhough Sundiata went on a hero's journey I don't think he saved anyone or had any objectives for saving people. Sundiata was more of like a king on a journey to take his rightful throne and he didn't have any goal with helping others or saving people from dying. Shahrazad on the other hand had a goal of saving not just herself but also all the women of her country. Shahrazad (in my opinion) helped people from dying and should be considered more of a hero.

I'm gonna be contradicting myself by saying that shahrazad is more of a hero , even though i rather read and learn about sundiatas hero journey. shaharazad actually saved many countrymen's daughters and saved herself,and put others before herself as a hero should... her heroic patterns were more clear than sundiata's....

Both sharazad and Sundiata are consider to be a hero, but I would say that Sundiata was more of a hero. He is born to be a hero and all the challenges made him wise. Sundiata sacraficed his family and many more. He spent his entire life being and proving that he is a hero.

i think honestly.. that shaharazad is better because she had a real reason to be a hero.. she wanted to save the women of her country.. personaly i think that Sundiata only had to prove that he was strong.. even though everyone knew that he was strong.. i mean he had really strong arms so it was obvious thet he was strong.. so shahrazad is better for me

i believe that they are both really good leaders and true heroes. The reason is because they risked there lives to say others like a true martyr.

i think that they both were very brave and they both were heros to their countrys.they both spent most of their life reaching a goal to be a hero. also sharazad reached her goal successfully.

I beleive sundiata and shahrazad are both heros, except sundiata. Sundiata has been through soo much whether shahrazad hasnt gone through anything before she became a martyr. They both saved their kingdoms and both became worthy and loved :]sundiata was threatened and and critizised and shahrazad was not.

I think Shahrazad was more of a hero . Shahrazad risked her own life to save others. I wouldn't consider Sundiata a hero because I believe he fought Soumaoro because of their feud over Sundiata's griot , Balla Fasseke.

I messed up on my last post! im so sorry everyone! i meant that Sundiata had been through more than Shahrazad because he was threatened and critizized. whether Shahrazad was not.
