Write in 2014 discussion

Why soup? I am tired and cannot think of another food that starts with S. So there.


Happy New Year everyone!

Anyhow.

My daily goal shall be 100 words a day. I know I usually write more than that, but I'm keeping it at 100 because there are days when I can barely write.

These are my goals for the year:
1. Finish Outcast.
2. Finish 300, and then edit it for the Createspace free copy.
3. Edit Life in D Minor - or at least, the part that I'm going to submit for the Scholastic novel-writing contest.
4. Write an 100 page script in April for Script Frenzy.
5. Write a 50 thousand word novel in November for NaNoWriMo.
6. Edit Hunted severely, and try to get it published.
7. Work on Life in D Minor, Memories, Star Soul, Blackout, and all those other stories I'm halfway through.
8. Start a few of the new stories I've been dying to write, like Dear Death and The Last Lute.

... PHEW. 0_0 There is no way possible that I'm going to finish all those goals. But I'm going to at least try. And hey, why not aim for as high as I can? Even if these goals are impossible, at least this year I'm challenging myself.

In 2010, I plan to write much more than I did last year. So let's see how it goes. :D And good luck everyone! XD

Haha, don't make a bigger list. I always bite off more than I can chew and overchallenge myself. I won't finish half of these. Lol.

FIRST UPDATE TIME OF THE YEAR!!! GAHH SO EXCITING!! XD XD XD


Day 1 (1/1/10)
Worked on: Wrote two chapters of Outcast. Okay, so I finished these chapters about five minutes before midnight, but I'm counting them anyway, even though technically they were right before the new year started. Pshaw. :P Heehee. Lavender and Caleb have their first kiss! Yaaayyy! That was so fun to write. And I've been waiting to get to this part for forever. XD

Day 2 (1/2/10)
Worked on: With my best friend Emily, I made a pretend Harry Potter family tree of all these pretend relationships, teachers and kids having pretend affairs with other characters that they don't actually have affairs with. Haha, it was so fun. Yes, I am counting this because a) it was a lot of work and took me forever, and I wrote a lot of names and such, and b) it was creative and I definitely used a wild, insane imagination. I mean, come on. I decided that Voldemort and Bellatrix have an affair, and their kid has an affair with Teddy Lupin. And then Harry is married to Ginny, and Hermione is married to Ron (as of the 7th book epilogue), but Harry and Hermione are having an affair, Ginny is having an affair with Draco Malfoy (who is married to Pansy Parkinson), Harry is having another affair with Cho, who is having an affair with Michael Corner. Oh, and Ron is having two affairs as well; one with Fleur Delacour (who is married to his brother Bill) and one with Lavender Brown. Did I mention that all of these affairs have children sprung out of them? Anyways. The point of this rant was to show you that yes, this was a project that used a twisted, wild imagination, so I can count it as writing as far as I'm concerned.
P.S. Anyone want to see my family tree? I can show you. XD It's hilarious, if I do say so myself. Teehee.
Words written: At least a hundred. It was handwritten, and I tried counting but I lost track at around 72. I know there were a bunch more, so I definitely wrote one hundred.

Worked on: Okay, I know I shouldn't have started a new story, with the six or seven stories I'm currently juggling and trying to get through. But I was a naughty girl, and I couldn't resist. >.< So I started a new story, The Last Lute. It's different than the usual I've written - kinda epic fantasy-ish. It's about this girl who finds a locket on the sidewalk and starts wearing it, and she starts turning into this creepy thing ... hehe. :) You should read it and reward my naughtiness. :P
