Hello everybody. My name is Lenore. I love to read PNR and some UF. I get into more challenges I can manage, but as long as it is fun, I don't care if I finish. I am the creator of paranormal-romancejunkies.webs.com. Some great ladies there. I hope you enjoy the group!

Hello! I'm Alycia. I do enjoy different genres, but I especially love PNR/ UF. I am constantly reading when I have a free moment. I have never done a reading challenge before but this group sounded like fun without being too hard or demanding. I can handle that :)
Hi there, I'm Danielle. I am a PNR and UF freak, although I am also a big historical and Harlequin/Silhouette romance fan as well. I am also a classic horror/weird fiction lover. I haven't done many challenges in the past, but I'm going to give them a try in 2010. Thanks for the invite. It's nice to see some friendly faces here.
Hi guys! I'm a challenge whore and a pnr/uf whore, so this is definitely the perfect group for me!
I'm thinking we will see many familiar faces here. :D

Hi!! I'm christina and I love PNR and UF!!
I read too much and buy too many books, so challenges are always great fun for me. I've been slacking the past month and a half though as I finished up my degree and we moved into our new house right before Christmas. Now all of my spare time seems to be taken up with DIY; maybe these challenges will get me back to my books.
My name is Tara and I'd rather be reading. Kidding!(mostly) But seriously, I read a lot of pnr & uf. I also like romance and a good mystery and an occasional sci-fi story. I'm a contemporary girl, not much for historicals, but I'm always to willing to give a higly recommended one a chance (ok, so sometimes it takes 2 or 3 chances, but I make every effort to get into it.) Anyway, that's me! Oh and I became an active member in September and started doing challenges in October. SO far I've managed to finish all the pnr challenges. So I'd like to accomplish that this year. Plus I joined the year long challenge which is 144 books in a year- which is equal to 12 books a month. I hope I make it!
I hope I can. I managed to read 151 books last year, and that was with sporadic reading through May, but I was unemployed for 2 months and during those 2 months I read 45 books, so that helped. I hope I can do it this year!
Hi - I own far too many books and challenges are a fun way of getting through them all. I always take on too many challenges and doubt I'll finish them all - but the fun is in the trying!
I'm trying to make an effort this year to read more of the books I have in front of me, by the end of the year I would love to have 20 or less books staring at me, rather than the 60 or so I have now. I also hop eto accomplish this by buy less books and using that thing called a library that I seem to ignore on my way to the bookstore every week! LOL! (I'll let you know how that works out)
Hi all [thanks for the i nvite Jan:]. I really have taken to romance PNR in particular, but I like kink as well. I love challenges and will definitely like it here.
Hi, Shannon here. I know a lot of the people here already but it's always good to find new friends! Thanks for the invite, Lenore! Challenges are pretty much my favorite thing about goodreads so I hope to be able participate a lot.
Hello everyone! I'm here on an invitation from Jan and looking forward to participating. I'm focusing on finishing up some series and I think this group sounds like the perfect place to keep track of everything!
Hello! I'm Annie, I love to read paranormal and UF. I really like Patricia Briggs for that category. I also dabble in writing (a very small tiny bit), and am a member of my local RWA chapter. I'm super excited about this months challenge of Wicked Ties. I just ordered this off Amazon this week. Lucky me! Thanks to Alycia who recommended this group to me. Looking forward to the fun!
Hi Annie. Wicked Ties is what I am currently reading and it is not half bad! Different from what I normally read because it is Romantic Suspense not PNR. I hope you enjoy it.
Hi everyone! Thanks Jan for the invite to the group. I love to read PNR and UF and really enjoy the challenges here. This helps me discover new books and organize my reading. My goal is to read 100 books this year, and the challenges help motivate me. Looking forward to participating here!

I look forward to seeing what you are reading and of course what you recommend. This is a really great group so far, I know many of the members in some way here on GR.
Annie and I have known each other for about 11 years now. We met the beginning of freshman year at college.
Hello I'm Barbara. Thanks Jan for the invite. Though I'm not sure whether to thank you and strangle you. I need more challenges like I need another whole in my head but hey it certainly didn't stop me joining. LOL
Hi and thanks for the invite, Lenore. I'm Christie. I try to read a little bit of everything but PNR and UF are my favorites.
Hi everyone! I'm Vickie. I love reading PNR and UF and I love challenges. So this seemed like the perfect place for me.
Hi there, January will be the first time that I start participating in challenges - I am sooooo excited! I have a little bit of a list-obsession. Don't tell anyone :) I love reading all the challenges posts as I have found some great reading suggestions.

This should be perfect for you then. Welcome!

LOL! Jan, I'm the same. :) Basically, I have found that GR has turned me into a challenge whore and I just can't resist them. But, it's helped (read forced) me to finally read so many of the books I have waiting to be read and others that I have been recommended, so that's not a bad thing. Right?! hehe I've always loved vamps, now I consume just about anything PN/UF related, but still try to find some time for my first love, horror. Always good to see some familiar "faces" when joining a new group.
Off to find books for some challenges ... :)
Hi! I'm Amanda and I read a variety of genres but PNR and UF are two of my favorites. Thanks for the invite Lenore! Looking forward to jumping in on some of the challenges.
Hello My name is Stephanie. i am addict when it comes to reading.. i love PNR and UF and i hope to try and keep up in the challenges..... wish me luck.... this group looks like fun :)... i have so many books i am trying to knock them off one series at a time... :)
Hello all - I got an invite to the group a little bit ago and have been debating joining or not. I have this little problem with challenges - I MUST COMPLETE EVERY ONE! It's a problem actually. After much internal debate I figured no better way to overcome my fear of overloading on challenges than to join up. I love Fantasy, Urban Fantasy and Post-Apocolyptic books with the occasional PNR mixed in. I'm a recent audiobook addict and have a book playing most of the day. If I'm not reading one of my books or listening to an audiobook then I'm probably reading to my kids.
I see lots of familiar faces here & am looking forward to completing
HA! Probably should limit me but I think I'll be able to show some self control. Thanks for the offer though.
Hi all, I'm Mary from TX. I'm a huge UF/PNR fan... although the older I get the more I lean toward UF, because I find I want less sex, romance, and angst; and more action, story/character development, and world building. I cannot resist a new series, which is why I have so many "book 1"'s on my TBR. And I cannot resist joining every single reading challenge I come across, even if I rarely complete them. I guess--as Jan so eloquently put it--I am also a "challenge whore" LOL! And as Danielle said, I'm glad to see so many familiar faces here. I'm sure this group will be a blast, and I'm looking forward to stealing recommendations from everyone's lists LOL! Peace
Hey ya'll! My name's Trish. I love book challenges, but usually don't get to finish them because of my schedule. After late May or early June I might have more time to read as that is the due date for our second child. I also do the challenges in the Paranormal Romance group. If you have a book recommendation that is PNR or UF send it over. If you want to be a friend do that too. I'm looking forward to chatting with ya'll and happy reading.
Hi everyone! I joined the other day but was so preoccupied with the challenges that I forgot to introduce myself! My name's Jennifer and I love to read! I am active in several groups: Everything Paranormal, Paranormal Romance, and Who's Your Favorite Author? I don't have as much time as I'd like for challenges right now, but I should have some more time soon. I will be finished with school in a few months. Enough about me...gotta get back to my book!
Hi everyone! I saw this group and had to join as I'm totally hooked on PNR/UF. I've been lurking around GoodReads for a while, but have recently become a challenge-addict and am signing up for everything everywhere.
Hi everyone!!! I am Beth from NC and I recognize a couple names in this group from other groups I am in. I love to read and like most things in my life I am very eclectic about what I read. But I have to say my favorite genre is Urban Fantasy. I have started several challenges before, but LIFE kept jumping in the way of finishing them. This year I am going to finish them. I think it is great that this group lets us pull more PRN/UF into our challenges and also gives us a place to keep up with them all. I look forward to finding great new UF books and authors through this group.
